The Proof is in the Progress

Philippians 1:6 NKJV

"...being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;"

If there has been no change in your life since you said you got saved….then are you certain that you are His?" It's true that the work of salvation is entirely the finished work of Christ, but the Bible also affirms that once we are bought with a price, the Holy Spirit begins the essential work of restoring and remaking us. This verse reminds us that salvation is not a one-time transaction we file away and forget; it's a good work that God begins and completes. The evidence of the Purchased inheritance is the progress of God's restoration in your life—the heart change, the desire for God, the growing conviction of sin. The certainty of your future with Christ is confirmed by the changes He is making in you today and will continue to make in you till he returns.

Reflect on your life one year ago. Identify one change (a sin you overcame, a spiritual discipline you started, a love you developed) that is clear evidence of the Holy Spirit’s ongoing work and thank God for His faithfulness to complete what He started.
